First, the problem
The rapid growth of China ’s economy for decades has made China truly a factory in the world. Exports have greatly promoted the rapid development of China ’s corrugated box industry, and the scale of production has expanded rapidly. Ten years ago there was a great increase. Although each carton manufacturer continuously improves the production process and management, the problem of weak carton adhesion is inevitable. Due to the high production capacity of automatic box-gluing machines, several cartons with poor adhesion greatly affect the quality of the whole batch of goods. The quality of glue coating is one of the most important issues affecting the quality of carton bonding in the manufacture of corrugated boxes. Poor adhesion will endanger:
(1) Insufficient adhesion of corrugated cardboard boxes will cause the user's automatic packaging machine to jam and the production cost lost by the user due to shutdowns exceeds $ 20,000 per hour. As a result, several "bad boxes" often result in a whole batch of cardboard boxes Returned by your user, and then the carton manufacturer has to manually pick out the defective boxes from the whole batch of returns, and also have to reproduce the entire batch of orders for free. These quality management problems will cause carton manufacturers to lose more than $ 200,000 each year.
(2) The quality of carton is very important. Because quality management issues will endanger the interests of users, users will turn to carton suppliers with more stable quality.
In order to avoid the above situation, it is necessary to control the scrap rate caused by the pasting problem to a very low or zero range. Then it is very important to find and remove the "bad adhesion" carton on the high-speed production line. The corrugated cardboard box glue defect inspection system (made in Canada) of Nanning Siant Technology Trade Co., Ltd. is a revolution to solve this problem. Rogers
Second, the system composition
1) High-speed digital camera? 2) Computer processing and analysis display system 3) Inkjet system 4) Special software
3. Working principle
Use a high-speed digital camera to align the glue parts of the carton. Take a high-speed shot of the glue distribution map of each box, the amount of glue, and transfer it to the computer to compare with the set program to identify each image. When the glue is unqualified or there are other defects, an alarm sounds and a signal is sent to the inkjet system to mark the defective carton. The operator can easily remove it before strapping to ensure that each batch of orders is not unqualified Carton.
4. Its working process
Real-time photographic imaging → analysis of the distribution image of glue strips → removal of defective cartons → recording of defective data
(1) Real-time photography imaging
The inspection system uses a high-speed digital CDD camera to capture images
(2) Analysis of the distribution image of glue strips
After each box is glued, the glue distribution map is photographed, and extremely detailed analysis and find out any type of glue defects that can cause problems for users. Its patented inspection technology can identify a variety of glue quality problems, such as: automatic calculation of the number of glue strips, glue strip shape ... The system not only finds each type of glue problem, but also finds other related problems:
※ Small debris falls on the glue bar
※ The carton is skewed
※ The damaged carton Shenzhen Tokyo Wenhong Printing Machinery Co., Ltd.
(3) Remove the defective carton
Once a defect is found, the system will:
. Alert
. Automatically spray marks on defective cartons with dye
. Automatically record and store defective images
By issuing an alarm to the machine operator and marking the defective carton clearly with dye, the operator can easily remove it.
(4) Record defect data
When the system finds unqualified boxes, it records the image of the glue defect and saves this information to the order number of the customer's order. The machine operator can retrieve the information immediately. Glue defect images and sequence number information will be kept for approximately 6 months. Provide machine operators and customers with authentic and reliable image evidence of defects, increasing customer trust in the quality management capabilities of carton manufacturers. [next]
5. The system can identify the following glue defects
(1) No glue: There is no glue on the paper surface of the box.
(2) The time for squeezing out the glue strips is not suitable: the glue will either come out too early or too late. One quarter of the paper that needs to be glued has no glue on it.
(3) Lack of glue strips: The device failed to squeeze enough glue strips onto the paper.
(4) There are small pieces of paper or foreign objects stuck on the glue bar: when the carton is folded, small pieces of paper on the corrugated box will fall onto the glue bar, which will cause no glue at this location.
(5) Bad boxes: Bad cartons make the glue strips incomplete and the adhesion is not strong.
(6) Skewed carton: Because the box is bent or skewed, the position of the glue applied will be incorrect. (Note: This is probably a carton folding problem)
(7) Insufficient amount of glue: the glue strip is thin, or intermittent, and the length is not enough.
(8) Too much glue: Too much glue is applied, too much glue will be transferred to other places or outside the box under the pressure, which will cause the box itself to be stuck up or stick to other boxes.
(9) Unsuitable glue-out time: the glue-out time is too early or too late, and one quarter of the paper has no glue. (Especially only one quarter of the area has glue)
(10) The carton was cut too short: the cardboard edge of the carton was cut too short, causing the glue strip to be too close to the edge of the cardboard.
(11) Cardboard side movement: moving on the cardboard side of the carton in the machine, changing the predetermined glue application position and the positioning distance to the paper edge.
6. Problems that the system can solve
The system can detect and remove the following two kinds of cartons, namely: (1) the boxes are not well pasted (2) the cartons are stuck together
(1) The box is not pasted firmly
Carton that is not pasted firmly will not be able to bear the designed load bearing capacity. In the user's packaging production line, the carton that is not firmly pasted will not stand upright after being loaded into the device, or it will leak out after the product is placed in this box. For users, the carton is not a very strong problem, it can interrupt or stop the automated packaging production line completely.
(2) The cartons are stuck together or the cartons cannot be opened
The second major glue problem is that the carton cannot be opened or is difficult to open vertically. When glue is applied or flows outside the glued area, it can cause the cartons to stick together. Corrugated cardboard boxes that are self-adhesive require a lot of force to open when they are opened on the packaging line, which usually causes customers' packaging lines to be blocked. At the same time, several cardboard boxes stuck together will also cause the customer's packaging production line to be blocked. That's because the glue is spread on or out of the glued area, that is, on the top or bottom of the box. When the boxes are tied together, the exposed glue causes the boxes to stick together. When the straps tied to the carton are not removed, the carton looks okay. The defective carton is not found and shipped, until the customer starts using it.
7. The system gives the corrugated box manufacturer a competitive advantage
By finding and eliminating defective carton boxes before the carton reaches the customer, the gumming defect inspection system greatly reduces returns due to quality problems and their associated costs. As a result, the glue defect inspection system greatly retains users and increases customer satisfaction. In addition, quality inspection methods with visual inspection of glue defects are often used as tools for the sale and promotion of cartons. It enables carton manufacturers to use the most advanced quality management systems on the market today to be able to remove cartons with quality problems. Zero-defect delivery records will give you a strong competitive advantage in the eyes of users.
